It's just so powerful next to contacts stations and the infirmary for me. I still can't imagine not using the workshop early. The workshop is more expensive, I think that makes it not worth it. I also noticed during my retaliation mission that the faceless didn't do anything when activated on the alien turn, the designers probably realized that produced a lot of bullshit early game. The beginning items are more expensive, the flashbang for example now costs 50 supply. I'm really curious about smaller balance changes, if anyone finds them I'd love to know. But it also feels like Xcom is yelling out 'F YEAH, NICE SHOT!' Sure, sometimes that stuff was happening off screen, so its just easier to read. I really like the toasts (achievement style pop-ups) that appear when you gain an ability point or do something cool. I bet that faceless was mad the chosen decided to hide near him. Oh Shit, was there a human hiding behind the car? But my count of saved/alive/dead humans hasn't changed? And aliens were over there earlier and left, and what human would have 10 health.oh, whoops. And then Central got on coms to complain that too many humans were dying. On the explosion, the Chosen took 12 damage, and another 10 damage plate popped up. Finally got to try out the reaper 'remote detonation'. Chosen made the mistake of hiding 2 squares away from a car. Had a great one in a retaliation mission last night. Maybe its because they talk so much junk. Killing the alien leaders always felt exhausting, but the chosen is just satisfying. I wonder if killing the chosen during a mission will ever get old? Because damn it feels good right now. But you know what - beating that mission was super satisfying. So, here is me in a very similar scenario for the Supply Raid mission, and the Assassin is a giant dick. Yeah the assassin has been wrecking my first playthrough pretty hard as well. I was pretty pissed! Can't seem to get an advantage over the assassin. Tried to do a supply raid mission but she marked the supplies for pick up and advent sent in drop ships which picked up the supply boxes with cranes.

I've got the assassin in my game and she is just wrecking me. Once the general spotted us, we were already in flanking position and killed him two turns later. Then when the general showed up on the map, I remained concealed and moved closer and closer to the general. So I moved my troops around the map, avoiding detection while the Lost zombies chased after ADVENT. What was interesting about this mission was that while my squad was concealed, the lost would engage Advent. I got the assassinate a general mission too, but instead I had 2 sectoids, 2 troopers, a stun lancer, and a horde of lost. I also got two teams of BFFs out of that mission, they just love killing aliens together! I eventually got it done on my third try by sneaking over to where the general was before revealing myself. I had five turns to kill him before he EVACed out of there, and there were 2 sectoids, 2 troopers, a squad leader, and the commander on the map.

My first mission was to assassinate a general, and that one was tough.
